PLEASE READ YOUR CONTRACT. THERE IS AN ENTIRE SECTION DEVOTED TO THE DRONE POLICY.
Drone footage is always 100% free. You'll never pay extra for the drone! This also means there are no refunds if we aren't able to fly the drone.
Drone footage is intended to be scenic footage of the general area. We don't fly the drone over people, over your ceremony, over your first look, or over any specific decorations or landmarks.
Drone footage is not guaranteed.
There are many reasons we may not fly the drone. We understand how disappointing this can be. That's why drone footage is always free. We want to be upfront about our drone policy, which is why it's explained in detail in the contract we both signed. We always comply with federal law. Drone laws are administered by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Here are some reasons we may not fly the drone: restricted airspace, federal limitations, weather, rain, winds, not enough time allocated in the timeline, equipment malfunction, safety concerns, logistical concerns, equipment interference, non-availbility of drone equipment, staffing limitations, and other reasons.
In some cases, we may use drone footage captured on a separate day from your wedding, e.g., drone footage we captured at another wedding at your venue, or stock footage of the general region. To improve the chances that we can fly the drone on your wedding day, please be sure to allocate 45 minutes of uninterrupted time in your schedule for the videographer to operate the drone. This is not a guarantee that we'll fly the drone on your wedding day. Please understand we may not fly the drone even if you allocate time in your timeline.
Drone footage is free. There are unfortunately no refunds if we can't fly the drone.
